Elementary

(For children aged 6 to 12 years)

ELEMENTARY

In our elementary school, we welcome children between the ages of 6 to 12. The lower elementary class comprises students aged 6 to 9, while the upper elementary classes are for children between 9 to 12 years old.

At this stage, children delight in engaging in activities and honing their skills. It is a crucial age for them to develop and grow, and at Prodigy, we actively encourage our children to become confident individuals by nurturing their skill sets. We shape them into imaginative individuals, fostering intellectual independence, and instilling a sense of responsibility as citizens within their community.

Curriculum

Our elementary curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to cater to the diverse needs of all kinds of learners. Whether they are slow learners or fast learners, our curriculum ensures that each child can progress at their own pace. Through this comprehensive curriculum, our students gain valuable knowledge about the universe, human life, numbers, and the world around them. They develop problem-solving skills, learn to tackle complex challenges, and foster abstract thinking. Moreover, our curriculum promotes both physical and psychological development, nurturing the whole child. The primary method of learning is through hands-on experiments, providing practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the world they live in.

The student leaves the Montessori elementary program with the self-concept of a capable learner and contributor and an optimistic vision of his or her own future.

The universe is the elementary classroom

Since it has been seen to be necessary to give so much to the child, let us give him a vision of the whole universe.- Maria Montessori.

In the Elementary Montessori curriculum, cosmic education holds paramount importance. This unique approach begins by introducing children to the vastness of the universe, fostering their understanding of the bigger picture. As they delve deeper, they explore the intricate parts that compose this universe, such as individual cultures, history, geography, and diverse life forms. By gaining this comprehensive knowledge, children develop a profound perspective on the world around them and their own role within it.

In our approach to learning, we utilize timelines, charts, and research cards as powerful tools for comprehending concepts. These visual aids and resources empower students to delve deeper into subjects, fostering a deeper understanding and encouraging them to conduct independent research.

Time lines, charts and research card of human needs help the child in independent study and inspire more research in science, history and geography. Montessori elementary children use their imagination and reasoning mind to explore all the parts of the universe.
